Today's post is going to be a little different than normal since it is not a fashion post, it is a beauty post. I have recently purchased 7 Wet N Wild MegaLast lipsticks and I am in love!
The colors I picked are all gorgeous and so pigmented! I have a lot of variety from bright pinks to deep reds to even a purplish color. I purchased all 7 on amazon and each were about 3 dollars. I picked up the colors Pinkerbell, Don't Blink Pink, Smokin' Hot Pink, Cherry Picking, Sugar Plum Fairy, Red Velvet, and Coral-ine. I know this product is old, but I thought this might be helpful to put up since I just recently wanted to try out lipstick and I am sure others are too. I will take pictures of each with my phone and camera to make sure I really get an accurate representation of each color, since they are all stunning! All right, lets get to swatching!! :)
This is my natural lip color, it is naturally pretty pigmented, but all of these colors are so pigmented that it pretty much covers up the natural color of my lips.
First up is Pinkerbell
This color is the lightest of the bunch and is super bright! It definitely is not a true pink, it has a warmer undertone but I feel like it would flatter a lot of different skin tones! It really brightens up my face and is super cute! Perfect for summer or just everyday.
This picture to the left is the most accurate representation of the lip color :)
Next, is Don't Blink Pink
This color is a bit more neon and little darker than Pinkerbell. I was a little disappointed with this one since I thought it would be a total Barbie-looking pink, but it is definitely more of a raspberry color. It is still gorgeous but I was really looking for a bright neon pink and this just isn't it. Like Pinkerbell, it is a warmer-toned pink that would flatter almost every skin tone.
Next, is Smokin' Hot Pink,
So gorgeous! This color is more on the warmer side than Don't Blink Pink yet it still brightens up my face, it is just a stunning shade.
Next is Cherry Picking!
This was the color that I was looking forward to the most since I've heard it was a dupe for Revlon's Cherries in the Snow and on amazon Revlon's was about 13 dollars and I was not going to pay that much for a lipstick. I refuse. I was definitely not disappointed in this lipstick! It is gorgeous bright raspberry color that definitely makes a statement. :) Like Smokin' Hot Pink, this color enhances the blue in my eyes.
This color is similar to Smokin' Hot Pink but it is more blue-toned which makes your teeth look way white! This color could definitely be for a vampy look since it is slightly
darker than some of the other pinks. Overall, this color could definitely replace a bright red lip since it has that timeless classic look to it that makes it absolutely perfect.
Next, is Sugar Plum Fairy, which is definitely the most unique color of them all.
I don't think this color is similar to any other color in this collection and is just breathtaking shade. I could see me wearing this on a daily basis since I love wearing bold lips and this color definitely deserves a spot in my everyday makeup looks :) Just look at this color! So stunning!
Next, is a red shade called Red Velvet :)
Okay, I'm going to be honest... I bought this shade because I am in love with red velvet cake. Plus, I wanted a red lipstick that I thought would look good on my skin tone.
I definitely think that this color is my color of red! It is so brightening and it doesn't make my teeth look yellow! I have worn this out in public and it was definitely an Immediate confidence booster.
Last but not least, Coral-ine.
When I ordered this color, I was expecting a light coral almost peach color. That is not what this is, at all. This color is definitely more red with just a tint of orange. It is an amazing color. I wore it yesterday when I was taking pictures for school. I felt hot wearing it. It is so bright and it looks good on me! I didn't think orange colors would flatter me, but I was pleasantly surprised. Maybe I have a neutral skin tone, I don't know but, I love it! I thought it was more red than Red Velvet at first but, comparing the two photos, Coral-ine is a lighter and does look a little more coral. I do not think the name really fits this shade though since it seems like a red rather than coral, but nonetheless it's gorgeous.
Alright, those are the 7 breathtaking shades that I own. I hope these swatches helped you find out which shades to purchase. If you have any questions or suggestions please leave a comment below. Thank you so much for checking out my blog and I will post again soon with a fashion post!
