OOTW: Week #7

Hello everyone! It's that time of the week again, Stylish Saturday!

This week is full of outfits that are super comfy and laid back to edgy and everything in between.

Monday
This was my super relaxed day so I decided to wear my over-sized sweater that my mom bought for me at TJ Maxx.  It is by the brand Poof!.  I absolutely love how slouchy it is and it is also super warm.  The "salt and pepper" look to it makes it perfect for layering over absolutely every outfit. The outfit I picked this time was super simple and easy to create.  I started with one of my school's long sleeved shirts and a plain pair of blue jeans by the brand Mossimo.  I threw on my black and white polka dot Keds to add a bit more interest and thats it!

Tuesday
I had an urge to wear bright colors since I have been wearing a lot of neutrals lately.  I thought this pink sweater was perfect to break the pattern.  My sweater is by the brand Arizona and it is the prettiest color! I love wearing it with my brown boots since the brown matches the buttons on the sweater almost perfectly.  It just adds a bit of coherence that I like.  I slipped on a pair of blue skinny jeans and my glasses and this simple yet bright outfit is complete.

Wednesday
I had a friend of mine pick a random color since I could not decide what to wear! He decided on blue so i made my outfit around this plain blue v-neck tee from Tilly's.  This is the Tried and True tee from Tilly's and I love the look of the "unfinished" neckline.  Because it is such a slouchy tee, I decided to jazz it up with a pair of leopard printed skinny jeans.  I love these jeans since from a distance they look like just plain grey jeans but when you get closer you can see a subtle animal print that creates a little bit of interest.  I added my off-white belt to add just a bit of brightness in an otherwise pretty dark and dull outfit.  I slipped on my black combat boots by Candie's and a grey cardigan by Merona.  For the final finishing touch, I added my chain waterfall necklace that I purchased from Charlotte Russe to add a bit of edginess.

Thursday
I'm really not that proud or happy with this outfit for a couple of reasons.  First, the jeans are too overwhelming.  I should have added something blue or green like bracelet or something to bring in the colors from the pants to other parts of the outfit.  The wine-colored boots cause the pants to stand out more since they contrast instead of bring the outfit together.  My grey sweatshirt looks okay because the only detail is in the cowl and its a subtle white lace pattern.  Overall the outfit is not bad, it just could have been better, I just didn't spend too much time on it since I only had two classes that day.  Anyways, my jeans are by the brand Mudd and are the same style as my maroon leopard printed pants I wore last week.  Both of them are super soft and comfortable.  My sweatshirt is by the brand Chance or Fate and I bought it from Younkers.  My boots are by the brand Mossimo and were on clearance! Score!

Friday
On friday I wanted to look a bit more edgy.  I started off with plain black skinny jeans and a white and black vertically striped shirt with a white cami underneath.  I love the way this shirt looks with two of the buttons undone so it looks just a little less put together and a little more just thrown on.  My shirt is by the brand mine and it actually has a tie front that I tucked into my jeans.  I bought this shirt from TJ Maxx because it was only 10 dollars, I mean come on! I had to get it! My jeans I bought from Tilly's and I paired them with a glossy black skinny belt from Rue 21.  I put on my black combat boots and my black pleather jacket by the brand JouJou to add a bit of a rocker vibe and a "m" initial necklace to add just a bit of shine.

Thank you for checking out my blog and like always if you want me to post anything specifically or if you have any suggestions just let me know in the comments below and I will get back to every single one of you!

OOTW: Week #6

Hello everyone!

I hope you all have had an amazing week! I have decided that I will post a weeks worth of outfits every Saturday since updating my blog daily is becoming more difficult.  This way I still give you the same amount of outfit ideas a week, just now they will be all on the same day.

On Monday I did not take pictures of my outfit since I was sick and wore something comfy.  I ended up going to the health center so I did not feel like dressing up.

On Tuesday, I wore a really simple outfit since I still did not have the energy to be creative with my clothing.  My black and white striped shirt is by the brand Studio Y and I believe I bought it from Maurices.  My black pleather jacket is by JouJou and I just love the look and fit of it! My jeans are by Decree and are just a plain pair of blue jeans.  I slipped on a pair of black combat boots by Candie's and my outfit was complete.

Wednesday I had another doctor check up so I wanted to again dress comfy.  I put on a pair of black jeans from RSQ and my new boots from Target that I am obsessed with! They are the brand Mossimo and they are the perfect color for every outfit! I threw on a maroon sweater from Old Navy that it slouchy and is perfect for an effortless look.  My denim overshirt is actually a men's button-up that I bought a few years ago.  It is the brand Merona and I love how much thicker it is than a normal woman's denim shirt.  I put on my gold chain necklace to add some shine and I was done!

Thursday I mixed it up a bit by keeping my outfit very neutral.  I decided that I wanted to wear my green skinny jeans by RSQ so I tried to make my outfit around that.  I wear so much black so I wanted to steer away from that by bringing in an oatmeal and grey palette instead.  I put on a plain grey long sleeve and an oatmeal colored cardigan by Mossimo.  I put on my new grey taupe boots from Target that are the brand Mossimo and a cream colored belt.  Then I felt like I should add a bit more color so I added my crystal necklace from Old Navy that has just a bit of peach in it.  I tried to then put in a bit more color with my lipstick by putting a bit of my Maybelline lipstick in the shade Shocking Coral with chapstick to create a subtle tint.  Oh and I want to thank my roommate Melany for photobombing my second picture! :)

Friday was really cold so I wanted to wear one of my pleather jackets to block the wind.  I wear my black jacket so often that I decided to wear my brown jacket instead.  I first put on my knit elephant shirt from TJ Maxx and a pair of Old Navy jeans.  I thought the outfit was too boring and neutral so I put on my coral Keds to add just a bit of color.  I also decided to add some color to my face by putting a tint of my Wet N Wild lipstick in the shade Smokin' Hot Pink.  I love this color so much since it creates the prettiest flush of pink.

I decided to add a bonus outfit since I did not have a chance to take one Monday.  Today I walked around downtown to take pictures of the beautiful fall scenery and I brought my friend Mel along.  It was a bit chilly so I wore my black and white striped blazer jacket by Mossimo and a floral scarf that I bought from Charlotte Russe.  I again put on my Decree skinny jeans and my black Candie's combat boots.  I also added just a tint of the Revlon Kissable lip stain in Romantic to add just a touch of red to my lips.

Thank you all for checking out the blog!

School Outfit #24

This summer I bought this long cream, maroon, and navy flannel shirt from Tilly's and it was really baggy on me.  Then an idea hit me, I should belt it! Since it is a flannel material and a bit short on the sides, I decided to put on a pair of black leggings to cover up a little more.  .  My belt is also from Tilly's and it creates an awesome hourglass shape.  I also added a maroon camisole underneath so I could unbutton a few buttons without showing skin.  My black combat boots (My first time wearing boots for the season!!) are by the brand Candie's and you can find this brand at Kohl's.  Overall this outfit was super casual and comfy since the flannel is so soft! I would definitely recommend Tilly's clothing since I end up wearing all of the clothes I bought from there so often.  It may be a bit more pricey then say Rue21 but, it is usually so worth it!

Thanks for checking out my blog and I hope you have an amazing weekend!

School Outfit #23

Hello everybody!
Today I wore one of my favorite hoodies that I purchased from Kohl's.  It is by the brand Mudd and I love the fit and color of this shirt.  I threw on my blue Decree skinny jeans and my cream slip-on Converse.  Since it was a bit chilly I put on my JouJou black pleather jacket and my simple but, edgy look was complete!

School Outfit #22

Hello everyone!

Today I am still a bit sick so I decide to dress really comfortable. School spirit is always in so choosing your school's colors is always a really great choice if you don't know what to wear.  I personally love my crewneck sweatshirt that I got from the bookstore at my university.  Skinny jeans are maroon leopard print and are the brand Mudd.  They are my favorite pair of skinny jeans since they are soft and just look really good on! I slipped on my cream converse and my outfit was complete.

Sorry if I look bad in the pictures! I haven't been feeling the best lately :(

School Outfit #21

"Your clothes should be tight enough to show that you're a woman but loose enough to show that you are a lady" ~Marilyn Monroe

Hello everyone!

So... this is not one of my favorite outfits since these jeans do not fit as well as they should.  I still like the overall look and it is easy to just throw on when you don't know what else to wear.  My jeans are from Old Navy and are just a tad too big on me.  Because of this, I also put on my skinny floral belt to keep them up and to add a bit of interest.  My "PARIS" shirt is also from Old Navy and I love how simple it is.  You can create a bunch of different looks with it and it does not look like a Junior's graphic tee.
My necklace I believe is by the brand Mudd and my mom bought it from Kohl's.  I threw on my Apt 9 lilac/light pink pleather jacket and my grey converse to create an effortless look.
Sorry for the easy look and the lazy blog today, I have not been feeling the best!

School Outfit #20!

Hello everyone!
Again I am so sorry for the late post but I had a Calculus II test to study for and I totally forgot to post to my blog! Today I decided to wear my grey leopard skinny jeans from RSQ since they are still a neutral pant yet they give the outfit a bit of interest.  I decided to keep my outfit simple and slipped on my primrose V-neck by Mossimo and my black cardigan by Mossimo.  You can tell that I love shopping at Target! I also added a skinny light blue belt and tucked in my shirt to add a bit of contrast to the outfit and it also made it look a bit more put together. I threw on my cream slip-on Converse and a simple white charm necklace and my outfit was complete.  Overall this outfit is really casual and is great for transitioning into the fall weather.

I hope you all enjoyed it!

School Outfit #19

"The most important thing to remember is that you can wear all the greatest clothes and all the greatest shoes, but you’ve got to have a good spirit on the inside. That’s what’s really going to make you look like you’re ready to rock the world."~ Alicia Keys

Fall weather is finally here!
Today was the first day I brought out one of my sweaters! Cardigans can be worn any time of the year but sweaters can only come out during special times like fall and winter.  This particular sweater I bought from Kohls on black friday two years ago.  It is by the brand Say What? and I have posted this sweater in my pleather pants post that I made last year.  I used to not wear this sweater often because of how flowy it is.  I never knew how to wear it since it made me look bigger than I actually am.  I was watching Pretty Little Liars and I saw that Aria, Lucy Hale had on a sweater that looked really similar to this so I decided to try to wear it again.  Today I tried something new and I belted it.  Immediately I saw my tiny waist and was ecstatic! Since I added a mint colored belt, I figured I should add more mint to the outfit so I added my dainty mint necklace from Rue21 and then put on my mint chucks to add a little bit of a sporty look without being too over the top.  The rest of my outfit was just black with my RSQ black skinny jeans and a black v-neck from Wet Seal.

My lip color is my Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain in the color Crush.  It was just dark enough to scream fall but not super dark that it was intimidating.

I hope you all have an amazing weekend!

School Outfit #18

“Style is knowing who you are, what you want to say, and not giving a damn”~Orson Welles

Hello blog readers!
Today I wanted to experiment a bit with mixing patterns.  Wearing two different prints can be super intimidating and taking baby steps can really help expand your wardrobe.  The easiest thing to practice with is stripes and floral.  Stripes are an universal print that goes with pretty much anything.
Today I wore my green and white striped v-neck from Wet Seal and paired it with my Merona blue and purple floral infinity scarf.  I like how the little bits of green in the scarf match the green in the shirt.  Picking a common color that is not the majority of the print helps the outfit look more put together.  I showed you what my outfit looked like without the cardigan to show how the two patterns look together.  Adding the navy cardigan added a bit of calmness to the look since the navy is also in the scarf, it tones down the craziness of the stripes.  My jeans are by Wallflower and I'm not a huge fan of the way these jeans look on me but, my favorite plain blue jeans were in the washer.
I paired my outfit with my cream slip-on Converse shoes and my glasses.  I am not wearing any makeup besides a little concealer and powder since I only had two classes today.

Hope you enjoyed this post and let me know if you want me to write more about pattern mixing or anything else you are curious about!

School Outfit #17

Hello everyone!
Sorry for the late post but I was caught up on homework.  This morning was really cold so I decided to wear my leather jacket.  I just bought this jacket from TJ Maxx and it is by the brand joujou.  I love the piping detail on the shoulders, it just makes it a little more special.  The black and white checkered shirt I am wearing is by the brand Merona and I am in love with it! I again paired my top with my Decree skinny jeans and a black skinny belt.  I put on my nude loafers by Lower East Side and I thought my outfit looked good enough to skip on the jewelry and makeup.  The look is simplistic yet interesting because of the mix of pattern with texture.
Sorry again for the late post!

School Outfit #16

"Fashion is not just beauty, it is about good attitude.  You have to believe in yourself and be strong."~Adriana Lima

Hello!
The outfit I wore today is really easy to execute.  All it consists of is a pair of jeans, a cami, a sweater and a pair of shoes.  The jeans I am wearing are from Old Navy and they are just a nice simple pair of dark blue jeans.  My mint and navy striped cardigan is by the brand Merona and I purchased it from Target.  The sleeves are a tad bit short so I like to scrunch them up to my elbow to give it more of a polished look.
Since the cardigan has some knitted parts to it, I have to wear a camisole underneath it so I do not show skin through.  I chose a black one for this outfit but any neutral or contrasting color would look great as well.  I loved the way my seaglass Converse looked with this cardigan and then I added my silver collar necklace that I bought from Charlotte Russe. I love this outfit since it is very simple but still super cute.  I have worn an outfit similar to this when I went to an informal job interview since it still looks very professional without being too dressy.  I did not do anything special for my makeup today so I did not think a selfie was necessary today.
Thank you for all the support!

School Outfit #15

"Life's too short to wear boring clothes" ~ Cushnie Et Ochs

Happy Monday!

Today is the last warm day for awhile and I decided to take advantage of my summer clothes for (maybe) a final time.  The dress I am wearing is by the brand Xhilaration and it is one of my favorite dresses to throw on.  It has pockets and I love the color blocking towards the bottom of the skirt.  I paired it with a mint belt that I think I got from Rue21.  It added a nice touch to the dress and made it a little more put together.  To bring more mint into the outfit, I wore a simple dainty mint necklace from Rue21.  I love putting the same color in more than one place in the outfit since it just looks more complete.  I threw on my Sam & Libby sandals and my outfit was complete!

My lips are tinted with my Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Stain in the color Cherish, which is a cool toned pink that is perfect for summer!

What do you think of my new haircut? I am still getting used to it since it is so different than what it usually is but, I think I like the change.  Let me know!

School Outfit #14

“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.”~Leonardo da Vinci

Hello everyone!

I am really, really sorry for the picture for today! I completely forgot to take one so I asked my roommate to quick snap a picture and it is not the most flattering.  My outfit was really simple starting with a pink sharkbite tank top from Tilly's.  I wore a pink camisole of the same color underneath because the shirt is a little too flowy and I didn't want to accidentally flash someone.  I threw on a pair of black lacy shorts from Rue21 and my slip-on cream Converse shoes.  I wore my teal leaf necklace backwards so it was gold.  I did have on my denim jacket but, I put it in the washer so I did not have it when I took the picture.

The lipstick shade I am wearing is Cherry Picking by Wet N Wild.  I used it almost like a tint but this color is PIGMENTED! Holy geeze this color is so intense that it took a lot of blotting and chapstick to lessen the color this much.  I do love the way it turned out though!

Thank you all so much for all the support!

School Outfit #13

"Fashion is about something that comes from within you"~Ralph Lauren

Hello everyone!

Today I wore a peachy coral shirt with tulip sleeves by the brand Japna.  I purchased this shirt at TJ Maxx and I love the way it fits.  It is flowy yet structured so it can also be used in professional settings.  My jeans are from Old Navy and are my favorite pair of non-skinny jeans.  My shoes are my cream crochet Toms that I have mentioned in previous posts.  My necklace from Rue21 and the coral in the necklace matches the shirt almost perfectly.  I also have on a brown belt, which you cannot see from this picture, from Tilly's to pull the whole look together

I only put on powder and mascara today keeping my look very natural.

Hope you return soon!
