OOTD #9: Sophisticated and Sexy

Hi everyone! The outfit I am posting today is one of my personal favorites! I recently bought a plain black blazer because it is so easy to dress up or down.  This outfit is casual enough to wear anywhere yet it still looks very put together.  Every part of this outfit is affordable and re-creatable.  I recently have been loving blazers and other structured cover-ups instead of sweatshirts because they are just as comfortable yet they look a little more professional.  Also, a lot of the pieces in this outfit can be replaced with others and still look just as cute.

I picked up my black blazer at Forever 21 for $25 and it has black and white stripes on the inside.  I love rolling up the sleeves to have a bit of the pattern showing.  My neon pink camisole is from Tilly's and I believe I paid about $7 for it.  It is one-size fits all, it stretches a lot and it never rides up it's perfect!  My jeans are by the brand Decree and they are my favorite pair of skinny jeans ever!  I believe I paid about $25 for them. They just fit so good! Since it is winter, I put on a pair of black boots.  I've been showing these boots a lot lately but, that is because they honestly go with every outfit.  For this specific look I wanted to maintain the comfy professional style and these don't take away from that at all.  Lastly, I am wearing my turquoise leaf necklace that I have shown in my pleather pants post, but I turned it the other way to make it gold.  I think I like it gold better, but I am glad that it can be worn either way without being obvious that it is faced the wrong way.  I think I paid $9 for it at Rue 21

Overall, I think pairing a blazer with jeans gives a relaxed look and is casual to wear virtually anywhere.  To keep it from being too "sophisticated" I added a pop of neon to add interest to the outfit.  Another way to add interest is to wear a pattern on any part of the outfit.  What I mean by this is you could put on patterned skinny jeans, patterned shoes, patterned camisole, or even a patterned blazer! There are so many different ways to manipulate this outfit to make it your own.  To make this even more casual try putting a graphic tee on underneath.  There are many options and I will continue to create different looks with my new jacket.  Let me know if you want an article similar to the pleather jeans for ways to wear a blazer.  I am willing to do any kind of clothing article so if you have any suggestions I would love to hear them! Thank you again for checking out my blog! ♥Maddie

OOTD #8: My Inner Gangsta ;)

Recently my page views have sky rocketed and I am so grateful for all the attention my blog has gotten.  Since I now have many fans I will definitely post more often.  If anyone has any suggestions for what I should post in the future I will take every comment and submission into consideration.

For today's post, I am doing another outfit of the day because what I wore today was a little different from my normal look.  I felt a little more daring and edgy today and wanted to see what kind of outfit that I could put together with my new jeans since I have not worn them before.  For my makeup, I kept it super simple with my Flamed Out mascara by Covergirl and a NYX matte lip cream in Ibiza, it is such a pretty shade!

My Pluto sweater is from Kohl's.  I found it on the clearance rack for $10.80!! I love Disney so when I saw this top, I needed to get it!! The jeans I am wearing are the brand Blue Spice and I purchased them from TJ Maxx for $17! They are a little baggy but, I kind of like the relaxed look they give off.  The reason I bought these jeans was because I thought the random patches of stitching looked kind of like Frankenstein.  Plus, I love the acid-wash look because it is not super dramatic like some of the other jeans I have seen in stores.  My boots are by the brand Candie's and they used to be my sister's.  I love how versatile they are, you can wear them with jeans, dresses, skirts, leggings... anything! My gold chain necklace is from Rue 21 and if you want a better look at it, check out my last post, How to Wear Pleather Pants.  Lastly, I threw on a grey beanie that I purchased from Forever 21 for $3.80!! Overall, I think this outfit is edgy but also a little girly, I really like the way this outfit turned out!
Thank you for checking out my blog! Again, please leave comments on some suggestions you may have or even to just say something nice. :) I hope you all have a great day and stop back again because I will be posting more often!! ♥Maddie

How to Wear Pleather Pants

For today's blog post I thought it would be fun to do something different so instead of showing you an outfit of the day, I am showing you different ways to wear one item of clothing.  Pleather pants are really in nowadays and many people are afraid to wear them because they don't know how to style them.  I hope this blog post helps some of you out because I absolutely love my pleather jeans that I purchased at Forever 21 and I want other people to be confident enough to wear them too!

This first outfit is super simple consisting of a black graphic tshirt that says "I woke up like this", a black and red flannel a gold chain necklace and a cream pair of converse.  Both the shirts and the necklace are from Rue 21 and were all inexpensive! Love this outfit because it's simple and cute and also it is easy to recreate for anyone's closet.

For a more "feminine" look I paired my pleather jeans with black ankle boots and a light blue furry sweater.  This sweater is so soft and is by the brand Eyelash which you can find at Kohl's.  Any sweater looks great with these jeans and I think they would look super cute with an off the shoulder top/sweater for a more laid-back look.

This next outfit is very "comfy".  I wanted to show you how easy making outfits is, all I did was throw on a white t-shirt, a tan cardigan and a pair of sneakers and I like the way it turned out.  My white tee is from Wet Seal, which is no longer in business :(.  My cardigan is from Tilly's and my shoes are black and white polka dot Keds.  Lastly, my necklace is from Rue 21 and is a pretty turquoise leafy pattern.  I love it!

This outfit is really simple since all it consists of is a white tee and a black and white cardigan.  This cardigan really packs a punch since the pattern is so busy.  It is by the brand Say What? and I purchased it at Kohl's last year on black Friday.  I love how comfy this is yet it looks put together.  I again wore my black booties since I love how they look with these pants!

So this outfit is a little bit fancier than the others.  I am wearing my black booties with an embellished tank from Maurice's that I got as a gift from my sister for Christmas.  I like how this looks because it brings a little more to the outfit rather than just wearing black skinny jeans.  I did not need to add jewelry since the top of it is shiny gold and it super pretty just on its own.  I could definitely see my self going out in this or even pairing a cardigan over it for class, it's just so pretty!

This outfit may be my favorite of the bunch... I love the shirt I am wearing, it is by the brand Decree and I have had this shirt for probably 5 years now.  It is a simple grey and black striped shirt and to make the outfit a little more interesting I paired it with a sparkly necklace that I purchased at Old Navy.  To keep the outfit casual I just threw on my grey converse and I love the way that it turned out!

Thank you all for checking out my blog! Let me know if you prefer my OOTD posts or if you like when I focus on how to style one clothing item because I am willing to do either! I hope you all have a great day and please check back for future blog posts!! ♥Maddie

OOTD #7: Christmas Day!

Hey guys! I hope you all had a great holiday season so far! Mine was very relaxed and I would not have had it any other way! :) My family has a very unique holiday tradition, we always go see a movie at the theaters and then we take Chinese food home for dinner.  I still decided to dress cute since I was going to be seen in public.

My makeup was very simple.  I put on my favorite mascara, Covergirl's Flamed Out, and I decided on making a statement lip with NYX matte lip cream in San Paulo.  It is one of my favorite colors from this collection and it is the one I reach for the most.

I am wearing my American Eagle black and white floral jeans that I wore in my Black and White OOTD, I just love them so much! My black booties are the brand Lower East Side, but any black or grey boots would look super cute with this outfit! My shirt is a simple V-neck from Tilly's, again any V-neck would look good! Lastly, my grey sweater is from Target and is super soft! I love it!

Since it was a little chilly outside, I paired my outfit with my green army jacket that I purchased at Old Navy.

I love this outfit, since my family does not have a huge Christmas/holiday celebration it is easy to just throw on and still look super cute!  I hope you all have a happy new year!!

Wet n Wild MegaLast Lip Color Swatches!

Hello everyone!

Today's post is going to be a little different than normal since it is not a fashion post, it is a beauty post.  I have recently purchased 7 Wet N Wild MegaLast lipsticks and I am in love!

The colors I picked are all gorgeous and so pigmented! I have a lot of variety from bright pinks to deep reds to even a purplish color.  I purchased all 7 on amazon and each were about 3 dollars.  I picked up the colors Pinkerbell, Don't Blink Pink, Smokin' Hot Pink, Cherry Picking, Sugar Plum Fairy, Red Velvet, and Coral-ine.  I know this product is old, but I thought this might be helpful to put up since I just recently wanted to try out lipstick and I am sure others are too.  I will take pictures of each with my phone and camera to make sure I really get an accurate representation of each color, since they are all stunning!  All right, lets get to swatching!! :)

This is my natural lip color, it is naturally pretty pigmented, but all of these colors are so pigmented that it pretty much covers up the natural color of my lips.

First up is Pinkerbell

This color is the lightest of the bunch and is super bright! It definitely is not a true pink, it has a warmer undertone but I feel like it would flatter a lot of different skin tones! It really brightens up my face and is super cute! Perfect for summer or just everyday.

This picture to the left is the most accurate representation of the lip color :)

 Next, is Don't Blink Pink

This color is a bit more neon and little darker than Pinkerbell.  I was a little disappointed with this one since I thought it would be a total Barbie-looking pink, but it is definitely more of a raspberry color.  It is still gorgeous but I was really looking for a bright neon pink and this just isn't it.  Like Pinkerbell, it is a warmer-toned pink that would flatter almost every skin tone.

This picture to the right is a pretty accurate representation of this color.
Next, is Smokin' Hot Pink,

This is probably my favorite color of the whole bunch! When I first put this color on, I fell in love! It just feels like my color, like it was made for me.  It is a gorgeous raspberry color that is very similar to Don't Blink Pink on my lips.  I think this color really brings out my blue eyes and again, this color would look good on any skin tone.

So gorgeous! This color is more on the warmer side than Don't Blink Pink yet it still brightens up my face, it is just a stunning shade.

Next is Cherry Picking!

This was the color that I was looking forward to the most since I've heard it was a dupe for Revlon's Cherries in the Snow and on amazon Revlon's was about 13 dollars and I was not going to pay that much for a lipstick.  I refuse.  I was definitely not disappointed in this lipstick!  It is gorgeous bright raspberry color that definitely makes a statement. :)  Like Smokin' Hot Pink, this color enhances the blue in my eyes.

This color is similar to Smokin' Hot Pink but it is more blue-toned which makes your teeth look way white!  This color could definitely be for a vampy look since it is slightly

darker than some of the other pinks.  Overall, this color could definitely replace a bright red lip since it has that timeless classic look to it that makes it absolutely perfect.

Next, is Sugar Plum Fairy, which is definitely the most unique color of them all.

This color is stunning! It is a plum-y, raspberry color is that is perfect for the fall.  This is definitely a vampy color that I think anyone can pull off since it is not too dark.  If you are looking at dark lipsticks but you are afraid of trying the purple lip look, try this color! It is a mix of pink and purple and it is so pretty!
I don't think this color is similar to any other color in this collection and is just breathtaking shade.  I could see me wearing this on a daily basis since I love wearing bold lips and this color definitely deserves a spot in my everyday makeup looks :) Just look at this color! So stunning!

Next, is a red shade called Red Velvet :)

Okay, I'm going to be honest... I bought this shade because I am in love with red velvet cake.  Plus, I wanted a red lipstick that I thought would look good on my skin tone.

I definitely think that this color is my color of red! It is so brightening and it doesn't make my teeth look yellow! I have worn this out in public and it was definitely an Immediate confidence booster.

I would recommend any one wanting to find their perfect blue-toned red lipstick to try this baby.  It is so perfect and it definitely stays a long time since it turns into a stain that is so comfortable on your lips.

Last but not least, Coral-ine.

When I ordered this color, I was expecting a light coral almost peach color.  That is not what this is, at all.  This color is definitely more red with just a tint of orange.  It is an amazing color.  I wore it yesterday when I was taking pictures for school.  I felt hot wearing it.  It is so bright and it looks good on me! I didn't think orange colors would flatter me, but I was pleasantly surprised.  Maybe I have a neutral skin tone, I don't know but, I love it! I thought it was more red than Red Velvet at first but, comparing the two photos, Coral-ine is a lighter and does look a little more coral.  I do not think the name really fits this shade though since it seems like a red rather than coral, but nonetheless it's gorgeous.

Alright, those are the 7 breathtaking shades that I own.  I hope these swatches helped you find out which shades to purchase.  If you have any questions or suggestions please leave a comment below.  Thank you so much for checking out my blog and I will post again soon with a fashion post!

Here are some more pictures of me wearing these lipsticks!

OOTD #6: Army Jacket

Hello everyone! I have a quick outfit to show you.  It was a bit chilly so I decided to wear my new green army jacket and my outfit ended up looking so cute!
I purchased my green jacket from Old Navy for 40 dollars and I love it! I got it in a size Large so it was a little baggy on me and also so I could put more layers underneath as it gets colder.  My white long sleeve is the same as the black one I wore in my black and white outfit which I purchased at Kohl's for about ten dollars.  My black skinny jeggings I bought at Wet Seal for twenty dollars and they are so comfy and thick! They are even warmer than regular jeans, Love! My boots I have mentioned as well.  They are the brand Breckelle's and they are my favorite boots ever!  Finally, my necklace is from Rue 21 and was about eight dollars.  I also think that a gold chain necklace would look awesome with this outfit as well!

Thank you so much again for checking out my blog and I am sorry that there is only one picture.  I quickly took this before class and forgot to take a few more later on! Please forgive me and come back soon to check for more blog posts! As always, please comment if you like my blog or if you have any suggestions, I am open to anything! ♥Maddie

OOTD #5: School Spirit!

I am so bad at this blogging thing... I don't think I have posted a new blog on time yet and I am so sorry.  I promise that I will do better!  On the bright side, I have just reached 100 page views! That is amazing!! Thank you so much, it brings a huge smile to my face to see the number rising! :)  Alright, now time for the fashion.  Today I wanted to wear shorts since I don't know when the weather will start cooling off and I want to take advantage of this hot weather! Also, I now have my nice camera so the pictures will be even better! Yay! :)

Alright, so my outfit was super simple today, but I thought it may give some people inspiration on how to wear high-waisted shorts and also look cute while sporting their school colors.  So the shirt is from the LAX bookstore, but I am sure you can find similar shirts in stores.  I have pictured these shorts before, they are my Almost Famous high-waisted shorts that I wore in my first OOTD post.  They are honestly the comfiest shorts ever!  Lastly, my sandals are from Target and are by the brand Sam & Libby.  I bought them last year but you can find brown gladiator sandals anywhere if you want a similar pair!
I kept my makeup very simple today since I thought my eyes really popped today and that I really didn't need anything else to complete my outfit.  Comfy and simple, but definitely not boring or ordinary!
Thank you all for checking out my blog, I really do appreciate it and please leave comments if you have something you want to ask/tell me.  I will definitely answer all of them ASAP! ♥Maddie
