School Outfit #17

Hello everyone!
Sorry for the late post but I was caught up on homework.  This morning was really cold so I decided to wear my leather jacket.  I just bought this jacket from TJ Maxx and it is by the brand joujou.  I love the piping detail on the shoulders, it just makes it a little more special.  The black and white checkered shirt I am wearing is by the brand Merona and I am in love with it! I again paired my top with my Decree skinny jeans and a black skinny belt.  I put on my nude loafers by Lower East Side and I thought my outfit looked good enough to skip on the jewelry and makeup.  The look is simplistic yet interesting because of the mix of pattern with texture.
Sorry again for the late post!

School Outfit #16

"Fashion is not just beauty, it is about good attitude.  You have to believe in yourself and be strong."~Adriana Lima

Hello!
The outfit I wore today is really easy to execute.  All it consists of is a pair of jeans, a cami, a sweater and a pair of shoes.  The jeans I am wearing are from Old Navy and they are just a nice simple pair of dark blue jeans.  My mint and navy striped cardigan is by the brand Merona and I purchased it from Target.  The sleeves are a tad bit short so I like to scrunch them up to my elbow to give it more of a polished look.
Since the cardigan has some knitted parts to it, I have to wear a camisole underneath it so I do not show skin through.  I chose a black one for this outfit but any neutral or contrasting color would look great as well.  I loved the way my seaglass Converse looked with this cardigan and then I added my silver collar necklace that I bought from Charlotte Russe. I love this outfit since it is very simple but still super cute.  I have worn an outfit similar to this when I went to an informal job interview since it still looks very professional without being too dressy.  I did not do anything special for my makeup today so I did not think a selfie was necessary today.
Thank you for all the support!

"Life's too short to wear boring clothes" ~ Cushnie Et Ochs

Happy Monday!

Today is the last warm day for awhile and I decided to take advantage of my summer clothes for (maybe) a final time.  The dress I am wearing is by the brand Xhilaration and it is one of my favorite dresses to throw on.  It has pockets and I love the color blocking towards the bottom of the skirt.  I paired it with a mint belt that I think I got from Rue21.  It added a nice touch to the dress and made it a little more put together.  To bring more mint into the outfit, I wore a simple dainty mint necklace from Rue21.  I love putting the same color in more than one place in the outfit since it just looks more complete.  I threw on my Sam & Libby sandals and my outfit was complete!

My lips are tinted with my Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Stain in the color Cherish, which is a cool toned pink that is perfect for summer!

What do you think of my new haircut? I am still getting used to it since it is so different than what it usually is but, I think I like the change.  Let me know!

School Outfit #14

“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.”~Leonardo da Vinci

Hello everyone!

I am really, really sorry for the picture for today! I completely forgot to take one so I asked my roommate to quick snap a picture and it is not the most flattering.  My outfit was really simple starting with a pink sharkbite tank top from Tilly's.  I wore a pink camisole of the same color underneath because the shirt is a little too flowy and I didn't want to accidentally flash someone.  I threw on a pair of black lacy shorts from Rue21 and my slip-on cream Converse shoes.  I wore my teal leaf necklace backwards so it was gold.  I did have on my denim jacket but, I put it in the washer so I did not have it when I took the picture.

The lipstick shade I am wearing is Cherry Picking by Wet N Wild.  I used it almost like a tint but this color is PIGMENTED! Holy geeze this color is so intense that it took a lot of blotting and chapstick to lessen the color this much.  I do love the way it turned out though!

Thank you all so much for all the support!

"Fashion is about something that comes from within you"~Ralph Lauren

Hello everyone!

Today I wore a peachy coral shirt with tulip sleeves by the brand Japna.  I purchased this shirt at TJ Maxx and I love the way it fits.  It is flowy yet structured so it can also be used in professional settings.  My jeans are from Old Navy and are my favorite pair of non-skinny jeans.  My shoes are my cream crochet Toms that I have mentioned in previous posts.  My necklace from Rue21 and the coral in the necklace matches the shirt almost perfectly.  I also have on a brown belt, which you cannot see from this picture, from Tilly's to pull the whole look together

I only put on powder and mascara today keeping my look very natural.

Hope you return soon!

School Outfit #12

"The most important thing to remember is that you can wear all the greatest clothes and all the greatest shoes, but you’ve got to have a good spirit on the inside. That’s what’s really going to make you look like you’re ready to rock the world."~Alicia Keys

The outfit I wore today was a little bit flirty and a little bit sporty.  I am so in love with this tank top I bought from TJ Maxx.  It is by the brand Romeo + Juliet Couture and it is a gorgeous purple, pink, blue, white, and black floral pattern.  I love the shape of this top, it is super flattering and it just looks great! My black shorts are by the brand Jolt and are just a basic pair of black shorts with a crochet trim around the leg openings and the waist.  I wrapped a shiny black skinny belt through the belt loops to look a little more polished and then tucked the front part of my shirt in to show the belt.  My shoes are just my cream slip on converse that I wear quite frequently.

The lipstick shade I am wearing is Sugar Plum Fairy by Wet N Wild.  I put on chapstick and used the lipstick as a tint to get a bit of a plummy color on my lips without making it super intense.

I am so sorry about the bad lighting in the first picture, the sun was not cooperating!

"Don’t be into trends. Don’t make fashion own you, but you decide what you are, what you want to express by the way you dress and the way you live."~Gianni Versace

Hello all,
Today I wore an outfit that showed off my edgy side as well as my classy side.  I wanted to look strong on the outside since I don't exactly feel so strong on the inside quite yet.  I started off with a pair of blue skinny jeans by Mossimo and a plain black v-neck tee from Wet Seal.  I then added on my back and white chevron blazer I bought from Gordmans and it is the brand French Atmosphere.  I love how comfy and casual it is yet it looks really nice on.  My shoes were a little crazy.  I wore my bright neon orange crochet Toms to add a bit more interest to the outfit.  I slipped on my silver collar necklace from Charlotte Russe and my glasses and my outfit was complete.
I wore a bit of concealer and powder on my face and that is about it.

Thank you for all the support

School Outfit #10!

"Playing dress-up begins at age five and never truly ends"~Kate Spade

Happy Monday!

Today I decided to wear a tank top I have never worn before.  I bought it last year from Rue21 and never figured out a way to wear it.  It is black with a hot pink lip print.  It looks very childish and cheap but underneath my black chiffon shirt by Mudd, it looks pretty good!  I love the idea of putting a print underneath a sheer shirt to add a bit more interest.  If you are going to recreate this look I would recommend keeping the background color of the tank the same color of the shirt so the colors do not end up clashing.  There are some exceptions but, this is a way to make sure it always looks good.  I finished off this look with a gold chain necklace from Rue21 and my trusty old blue jeans by Decree.  I again slipped on my tan loafers by the Lower East Side since they did not distract from the rest of the outfit.  This is an outfit that I'm still unsure about but it was really fun to play around with prints and different types of looks.  Let me know what you think!

Here's a better picture of what the print of the tank top looked like underneath my sheer shirt.  For makeup, I wore a tint of color on my lips with my Revlon Just Bitten Kissable lip stain in Smitten and kept the rest of my face very minimal.

Hope you all have an amazing week!

"Never dull your shine for somebody else"~Tyra Banks

I know this is not exactly a fashion quote but, I was watching America's Next Top Model and I think it definitely still applies to style and fashion.  For example, many people would be afraid to wear patterned pants like these but, I like them and I'm going to wear them! They are from Tilly's and they are like the more fashionable yoga pants.  They are just as comfortable but they make a statement.  I just paired them with a simple black tank top and a grey cardigan by Mossimo.  My necklace I bought from Forever 21 and the blush-colored shoes are by the brand Lower East Side.

My makeup was simple but a little quirky.  I did my same makeup but did a lip tint with my Revlon Just Bitten lip stain in the shade Crush.

"Elegance is the only beauty that never fades."~Audrey Hepburn

Today was a super lazy day.  The fire alarms in my apartment building started going off at 4:30am.  I was super exhausted waking up that I decided to throw on one of my big comfy flannels to act like a wearable blanket.  This flannel I bought from TJ Maxx and is by Hollister.  I love how the mint in the flannel matches the mint in my shorts.  The shorts are by the brand Celebrity Pink Jeans and they are so stretchy and comfy! I put on my navy camisole from Tilly's and a heart necklace that was a present from my boyfriend for my 18th birthday. :) I then slipped on my cream crochet Toms and my glasses.

My makeup was simple, only putting on my BB cream and powder.

Sorry for the easy outfit today!

"Always dress like you are going to meet your worst enemy." ~Kimora Lee Simmons

Hello!

Today's outfit is a little bit different than other outfits I have posted in the past.  It was super cute and comfy and even a little risque because I'm showing a bit of my stomach.  My neon pink and white lace crop top I purchased from Burlington Coat Factory and the brand is FillE.  It was on clearance for seven dollars and it fits super well! My white high-waisted shorts I have worn on my blog before and are by the brand Almost Famous.  I just love the look of the sailor buttons.  My grey Converse shoes add the perfect amount of sportiness and comfiness.  I love wearing canvas or slip on tennis shoes in the summer because they are perfect for walking long distances and make an outfit look effortless.
I again added a bit of a tint to my lips using my Wet N Wild lipstick in the shade Pinkerbell since the pink really brought out my blue eyes.
Thank you for checking out my outfit for the day!

"Everyday is a fashion show and the world is your runway" ~Coco Chanel

I reached 2,000 page views! Thank you all so much for checking up on my blog, it really does mean a lot to me.  Since I have so many fans now I would really like people's input of ideas on what type of outfits you like best or if there is a clothing item you need help styling, really anything! Post a comment below and I will get back to you within 24 hours!  Alright lets get into my outfit for today!

Today it was warm but, I didn't feel like wearing shorts.  I still wanted to take advantage of my summer clothes because sadly I live in Wisconsin and it doesn't stay warm long.  I decided on my black and white geometric patterned joggers/harem pants.  They are by the brand Eye Candy and I love the way they look.  My t-shirt is from Tilly's and it is their "Tried and True Tee".  This shirt has a relaxed fit but is still really flattering on the body.  If you buy this shirt please buy your normal size even if it looks big, it shrinks!  I pair my harem pants with only one pair of shoes and they are my Sam & Libby black sandals from Target.  I think harem pants can also look really cool with sneakers if you want more of a street look vibe but, I have not figured out a way to rock it yet! Lastly, I added a bit of edginess with my gold chain necklace from Rue21.  It followed the neckline on the shirt perfectly and made the outfit not so boring.
I wore my makeup the same I do everyday and added a bit of tint to my lips with my Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Stain in the shade Honey.
Thanks for joining me!

School Outfit #5

"Clothes mean nothing until someone lives in them"~ Marc Jacobs

So, the weather is back in the 80s but the classrooms are still freezing! It is an awful combination so today I wore shorts with a sweatshirt so I can stay cool outside and still be comfortable with the blasting cold air conditioning.  I kept my outfit super simple and sporty with my Tek Gear sweatshirt and Converse slip on shoes.  These shoes are my absolute favorite to wear in any season and I want so many more pairs but I can never find any!! If anyone finds any Converse slip ons like these let me know! Lastly, I added my pink and white polka dot high-waisted shorts by First Kiss to add a bit of interest to this outfit.  They fit so well and are so cute!  I wanted to keep my jewelry simplistic so I put on a silver chain necklace that has three white circle charms that have "Live", "Laugh", and "Love" on them.
For my makeup, I wanted to bring just a little tint of color to my lips/  I added a little bit of my Wet N Wild lipstick in Pinkerbell over some lip balm to add the prettiest flush of pink to lighten up my face.

Thanks for the support!

School Outfit #4!

"People will stare. Make it worth their while" ~ Harry Winston

I love this quote! A lot of people say they do not dress up for the fear that people will look at them.  Who cares if people look? Dress yourself for you, you don't need anyone else's approval.

Happy Friday!

I am so glad it is the end of the week! Since it is the weekend I might not post anymore outfits until Monday.  Today I wore one of my favorite tank tops with a pair of skinny jeans.  This tank top I got from Rue21 and it is really soft and stretchy.  My skinny jeans are again by Decree and they are my favorite pair of blue jeans.  My black cardigan is by the brand Mossimo and it actually shrunk in the dryer last time I wore it. :( At least it still looks cute! Lastly, I slipped my "sea glass" Chuck Taylor High Tops since the mint colors in the tank top matched the shoes almost exactly.  When I wear solid colored shoes I like to make sure the color is featured in another part of the outfit whether it be a necklace or part of a shirt.  It just makes the outfit look a little more put together.  I really like the sporty and effortless look of this outfit.  My roommate Melany seems to think I look "European" which I am totally okay with since they have great style! :)

I used my Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Stain in Honey to add just a little more pigment and shine to my natural lips.

Thanks for checking out my blog! I hope you like the new background!

"Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak."~Rachel Zoe

I decided I'm going to start every blog post with a fashion related quote.  I love this quote by Rachel Zoe because I totally agree with this.  You do not talk with every person you meet on a daily basis so clothes are a way for you to express your personality and style.

Today I wore a denim shirt that I wore in my first blog post but, I styled it in a different way.  This time I wore my shirt with a white cami underneath and some black skinny jeans.  I threw on a pastel statement necklace and put on my coral Keds because the color was almost identical to the color on the necklace.  As I stated before, the shirt is by the brand Passport, my black jeans are from Tilly's and are the brand RSQ, and my necklace I purchased from Rue21.  My makeup was very simple except for my lips I used a Revlon Just Bitten lip stain in Rendezvous, which you can see in the top selfie(I took it off before I took the other pictures). :)

Thank you for checking out my blog and be sure to leave comments if you enjoy what I am doing or if you have suggestions!

School Outfit #2

Hello everyone! I hope you all had an amazing day!

Today I wore one of my favorite outfits for the summer.  I love the pop of red that the cardigan brings to the black and white outfit.  I also really like how the shorts add just a little more interest than just a pair of solid colored shorts.
I usually do not wear a lot of shorts in the summer because I can never find a pair that fits me right and if I do they end up being way too short for comfort.  Well the shorts drought has ended! I found these shorts at Target and I am in love with them!  They just hit the perfect part of my waist to make my midsection look smaller and they do not show anything that I do not want to show.  My black tank top is by the brand Mossimo and it is the perfect starter piece for any outfit.  My red cardigan I bought from Vanity awhile ago and I just recently started to wear it again.  My necklace is from Charlotte Russe and it is my current favorite accessory.  Lastly, my sandals are by the brand Sam & Libby and they are the perfect walking shoe for the summer!
Sorry for the late post! I was caught up on school work! I hope you enjoy my post!

School Outfit #1 + News!

Hey you guys!

So... I've been horrible about posting blogs this summer.  I am really sorry, I got busy with working weird shifts and did not have much inspiration for blog ideas.  I now have decided to make daily posts only on my outfit for that particular day.  That way I can get more inspiration out to you and it is also easier for me because I have to get dressed anyways. :) I will for sure be posting on every school day, but only occasionally on the weekends.  I am open to requests and advice so you can always leave me comments on any of the posts.  I will try to get back to you as soon as possible.  Thank you for all the support and I hope you stick around for the ride. :)

Lets get to it!

This morning I woke up to dark clouds and lots of rain.  I decided that I did not want to wear shorts since I get cold really easily and the buildings always have their air conditioning blasting when classes start.  I threw on my trusty old blue Decree skinny jeans and a simple grey and black striped tee also by Decree.  The outfit looked too simple so I put on my black and white polka dot Keds and a sparkly peach and crystal necklace that I bought from Old Navy. This outfit is super simple to recreate and also easy to put your own spin on.  Instead of doing patterned shoes, choose a fun pop of color or wear a plain t-shirt and wear a bigger statement necklace.  Altering it for your own personal style is the fun part so enjoy it!

I kept my makeup really simple. (I apologize for the morning selfie, I wasn't quite yet awake yet ;) )  I covered my face with my Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream and layered my Maybelline Fit Me! Matte + Poreless Powder.  Then, I brushed on my favorite mascara which is the Almay One Coat Get Up and Grow.  It never clumps and my lashes always feel soft, it's amazing! Finally, I finished off my look with a quick swipe of my Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Stain in Charm, which gives my lips a more muted color and a little bit of shine.  Overall this is a cute outfit for going to class or making a quick errand.

Thanks for checking out my blog,
 Maddie♥
